While in NYC we visited Baby Cakes a vegan bakery with deliciously evil-looking, frosting-covered baked treats which come in sugar, dairy, gluten and soy free varieties.

Maja does love a good community Garden and this one is on Main Street Santa Monica didn't disappoint. Established in the seventies this garden has 65 individual plots and is home to many flowering any fruitful plant varieties. This communal space is a 'an opportunity for people to exercise, practise sustainability, grow organic fruits... and meet neighbours with like interests.

While we were in Brooklyn last month we came across Hope&Anchor in Red Hook. An quirky yet authentic diner serving awesome burgers and beer. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it.
