Mother Nature works in weird and wonderful ways. Each morning I pass this fig tree, growing out the side of a brick bridge in Annandale. It makes me wonder... why can't I grown simple rocket at home when this fig tree, probably born from passing bird poo, can overcome all odds to survive without soil?

Our very own, very beautiful Natalie was married this month to the handsome drumming chef, Jamie Dalton. We've watched this romance from the beginning and take some credit for their first date so we were proud as punch to see them wed. Congratulations Mr and Mrs Dalton!

It was a colourful, relaxed, fun filled wedding - just like the couple themselves. Set in the beautiful gardens of the Penrith Art Gallery the grounds were speckled with bright paper lanterns and beautiful blooms arranged by Anna and Nicky. These photos are courtesy of our creative friend Caroline.

It's the weather for a cold beverage. If you're keen to try a new ale check out Murray's (no relation) range of beer including Nirvana Pale Ale and Whale Ale - made locally in Port Stephens.

While staying at Kingscliff this weekend we had the pleasure of a beautiful meal at Fins.
Fins cuisine is not traditional, but rather Chef, Steven Snow’s  interpretation of the best flavours and cooking methods discovered during his travels. The food is fresh, local and beautifully presented. If you like sea food, you’ll love Fins. Fins has carried 2 chef hats since 1998, you'll see why when you eat there.

We have blogged about BibbaBaking in the past, as we love their guilt free treats! Bibba has now opened a cafe in Sydenham, NSW (sorry to the out of towners) this is a place where you can find many alternative baked goods, served with a cup of Single Origin coffee or a perfectly brewed organic tea. To start with they are open limited hours, however we’re sure that will change soon enough when they are flooded with regular customers.  Check out the Bibba blog to keep up to date with their progress and hours. It is well worth a visit for anyone with an intolerance, detoxing or just health conscience.
