At the NY gift show we saw these ultra cool planters from Pad Outdoor, these are a throwback to the 60’s with the bright glossy finish and brilliant bright colours. How could you not fall in love with them. Most of the stockists are California based. We can look in envy from Australia.

Show Pony is a great store in Seattle that celebrates everything horsey!  The image on the right are painting by local artists. The second floor is dedicated to vintage clothing - good for an afternoon of rummaging!

Here at Polli we are big drinkers of T2 teas. Our studio blend is Monk Pear and Girlie Grey mixed 3:2. At the moment I'm loving Chai Lattes made with soy milk and yummy honey. '

We were upset to hear a rumour that T2 had been bought by Coke. Unable to find any information to confirm this on the internet we visited the T2 store in Newtown and asked the staff. Apparently it's a common rumour and they've even had angry customers throw things in store!

We are very happy to say that T2 IS NOT OWNED BY COKE. They are just sold through grinders coffee but are still very independent. Yay.

We have featured Phibs work in the past, now you can see his work in his up coming solo exhibition at Hogan Gallery. This show is a collection of hand painted pieces, paper cuts and aerosol works.

Our super cool friend Jen is in Sydney this week. She's the creator of the site 'The Brothers Trimm'. A mum of two wee boys herself she is well experienced with entertaining these little creatures. If you've got your boys or know someone with boys check out this great site.

If you were doing the Bronte coast walk a few weeks ago you might have seen a funny sight. Artist (and Polli Mum) Ro Murray had recruited friends and family to wheel 7 decommissioned lawn mowers down Macpherson Street to the cliff edge. Why? Ro is a local artist and honours year student at The National Art School. She's entering Sculptor by the Sea this year and keen to incorporate her 4 wheeled friends in a kind of 'pied' piper' type act! Go Ro!

Kate visited the Ace Hotels in Portland and Seattle. The hotel rooms have a really unique aesthetic using a lot of young artists to decorate the rooms so each room is totally different. We priced and definitely worth checking out.

Mother’s Day is coming up on 9 May 2010, and it means a lot to us here at Polli. We are all mums or mums-to-be and are very close to our own mums.

To celebrate we are doing a giveaway via our Facebook Fan Page (click here). Some of our lovely customers have asked for an Indie update so here she is! She's 7 months now and enjoys dragging herself along the floor, eating anything she can get her hands on and playing music on her little toy piano. We have communal lunches here in the Polli studio and last week she helped Rosie prepare some yummy homemade sushi. By help I mean she sat in a cardboard box on the kitchen bench throwing cooked brown rice all over the kitchen!
