Anti “gentrification” street art. Love it!

When Kate popped into DUMBO a couple of weeks ago, she had a
quick look in the Dumbo Arts Centre.
At the moment there’s an exhibition called “The
Experience of Green”, which is a site-specific installation by Wade Kavanaugh
and Stephen B. Nguyen.
The entire warehouse space has been transformed into a
forest of huge life size old trees made entirely of red kraft paper (tissue
paper). Each tree is different with
knarled branches, knots, and empty cavities you can go and stand in.
The artists had 5 assistants help them create the trees
over 2 weeks.
Amazing!
